Ola Electric has achieved another significant sales milestone by selling 252,647 electric scooters from January 1, 2023, to December 21, 2023, making it the first electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India to surpass the 2.5 lakh-unit mark in a calendar year.
This accounts for 31% of the total 828,537 electric two-wheelers sold in India until the penultimate week of the year. According to Vahan data as of December 21, Ola has experienced an impressive 131% year-on-year growth in CY2023, with retail sales reaching 109,395 units in CY2022.
The consistent monthly average of around 20,000 units reflects strong and sustained demand for Ola throughout the year. Ola’s market share for the entire 12-month period stands at 30.50%.
While other electric two-wheeler manufacturers, such as TVS Motor Co (162,399 units with a 19.60% share) and Ather Energy (101,940 units with a 12.30% share), have also crossed the six-figure sales mark this year, Ola maintains a significant lead.
