Ampere Expands Presence in Nepal, Introducing Electric Two-Wheelers in Collaboration with Kedia Organisation

Greaves Electric Mobility Private Limited (GEMPL), a division of Greaves Cotton Limited specializing in electric mobility, has made its global debut by inaugurating its inaugural showroom in Nepal in partnership with the Kedia Organisation, a prominent business conglomerate. This strategic move marks a significant milestone in GEMPL’s journey into the global electric vehicle (EV) market, extending its operations beyond India and catering to the evolving demands of Nepal’s market.

Under the collaboration, the Kedia Organisation assumes the role of the exclusive authorized distributor responsible for sales, marketing, distribution, and after-sales support for Ampere Electric two-wheelers in Nepal.

Ampere has unveiled its flagship showroom in Teku, Kathmandu, with plans to establish multiple outlets and dealerships across the nation. The electric two-wheeler segment in Nepal has seen remarkable growth, buoyed by increasing environmental awareness and governmental support for EVs. Nepal’s terrain and rising fuel costs further bolster the appeal of electric two-wheelers, positioning the country as a promising market for the electric mobility sector.

In Nepal, Ampere Primus, supported by Ampere Magnus, stands as the primary offering. Primus emphasizes safety with its LFP battery pack, delivering enhanced performance through a PMS motor, belt drive, and a smart connected cluster for seamless navigation. It caters to customers seeking a balance of style, performance, comfort, and reliability. Meanwhile, Magnus exemplifies superior performance and comfort, featuring an array of exciting features.

CEO of Greaves Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Sanjay Behl, expressed enthusiasm about the Nepal expansion, citing alignment with the dynamic Nepalese market and the introduction of advanced electric two-wheelers. Behl highlighted the partnership with the esteemed Kedia Organisation, emphasizing the joint vision to promote electric mobility and transform urban transportation.
