Magenta Mobility has unveiled PLENT, an innovative charging solution designed to cater to the growing demand for safe, intelligent, and cost-effective electric vehicle (EV) charging. PLENT, a unique EV charger in India, features 12 charging outputs, each capable of delivering 3.3 kW of power. This configuration provides a favourable cost per charging point, benefiting fleet operators and residential communities.

Maxson Lewis, Founder and Director of Magenta Mobility, expressed excitement about the launch of PLENT, describing it as a groundbreaking multi-charging product designed to enhance the EV charging experience while addressing the specific needs of the Indian market. With charging times ranging from 3 to 3.5 hours, PLENT offers reliability, minimal downtime, and competitive pricing. It supports various types of EVs, including 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, and 4-wheelers.

PLENT consists of a Central Control Unit (CCU) and twelve Dispensing Units (DPUs). The CCU serves as the charger’s central processing unit, while the DPUs are responsible for actual charging. This setup ensures efficient and hassle-free charging, particularly for operators managing EV fleets.

Notably, PLENT incorporates features for temperature monitoring and charging protection, ensuring optimal performance and user safety. The charger eliminates the need for additional switchgear, streamlining usability. PLENT is designed to comply with the OCPP 1.6 standards, enabling seamless integration with diverse charging networks and ensuring compatibility and interoperability. It also offers benefits like over-the-air (OTA) updates and a user-friendly 7″ touch display, providing enhanced usability and access to the latest features.

Additionally, PLENT’s ability to track and store data in real time simplifies the analysis and monitoring of charging logs, resulting in streamlined management of charging operations for improved efficiency.
