Tata Motors, which continues to see significant demand in the Indian passenger car industry and is the strong No. 3 player after Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai Motor India, has announced the new Nexon EV MAX #DARK.

The new Nexon EV MAX #DARK, an expansion of the #DARK line, will be offered in two trims: XZ+ LUX (priced at Rs 19.04 lakh, ex-showroom, All India) and XZ+ LUX with a 7.2 kW AC fast charger for clients across the nation (priced at Rs 19.54 lakh, ex-showroom, All India).

“The Nexon EV is India’s Number 1 EV, and in a short span has been loved and trusted by over 50,000 customers, making it the flagbearer of India’s EV evolution.” said Vivek Srivatsa, Head, Marketing, Sales, and Service Strategy, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.

He added, “With the success of the #DARK and the popularity of the Nexon EV MAX, we felt it was the right time to marry the two and present to our customers this new avatar that moves the #DARK to MAX.”

‘The Nexon EV MAX #DARK will not only have features that are only available on top-of-the-line products, but it will also be the first device to receive some of the most anticipated Nexon line-up updates. The Nexon EV MAX #DARK, a healthy, stylish electric SUV that offers high range, safety, performance, and luxury for our customers to Go.ev, is more than what everyone has been waiting for,’ he stated. ‘It is equipped with a highly responsive 26.03 cm infotainment, High Resolution HD Display, 180+ voice commands, High Definition Rear View Camera, and Wireless Android Auto & Apple Carplay, among other features,’ he added.

Tata Motors has a first-mover advantage in the fast-growing electric vehicle industry, with the Nexon EV, Tigor EV and Xpres-T (for fleet purchasers), and Tiago EV accounting for more than 80% of the market. According to the corporation, it has documented wholesales of 50,043 EVs in FY2023, representing a robust 154% YoY increase (FY2022: 19,668 EVs).

The company’s EVs are currently facing their first real competition: the Tiago EV with the forthcoming MG Comet EV, and the Nexon EV with the Mahindra XUV400.
