Volkswagen Virtus Receives Five-Star Safety Certification In India

VW Passenger CarsIndia announced today that the Virtues received five-star crash test results under the new and more demanding Global NCAP testing criteria. This safety grade was given to the carline for both adult and child occupant protection. With GNCAP’s new crash test methods, the VW Virtus is now one of just a few cars in India to receive a complete five-star safety certification for both adult and kid occupants. It now joins the VW Taigun, the brand’s first India 2.0 project car to receive this prestigious safety grade, rating, as a proud member of the Volkswagen family

Superior build quality, safety, and enjoyable driving experiences have always been the Brands’ core values. Therefore, evidence of this DNA can be found in the Volkswagen Virtus’ crash test results. They are also the most recent recognition for the sedan, which has already received over 12 awards from reputable Indian automotive publications between the years 2022 and 23.

In response to the latest honour for the VW Virtus, Ashish Gupta, Brand Head, Volkswagen Traveler Vehicles India, stated, “Volkswagen’s DNA is uniformly composed of safety, prevalent form quality, and execution. The fact that the Virtus received the same five-star safety certification as the Taigun is a source of great pleasure for the company. This is without a doubt…. including the worldwide best-seller Tiguan, with the Taigun and Virtus gaining five-star ratings for adult and child occupant safety.”

The Volkswagen Virtus has over 40 safety features, including up to six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Park Distance Control, Multi-Collision Brakes, Hill Hold Control, rear-view camera, rear fog lamp, tyre pressure deflation warning, ISOFIX child seat anchoring, and brake disc cleaning. This set of safety measures is complemented by a sturdy body constructed on the MQB A0 IN platform. After all, safety is built into every VW.
