BLive, a platform for electric vehicles of multiple brands, has partnered with Chartered Bike, a company that specializes in electric mobility solutions, including public bike sharing, e-commerce delivery, campus mobility, and last-mile delivery.
They have signed an MoU to jointly deploy 10,000 electric two-wheelers nationwide as well as 1,000 electric three-wheelers across the country over the next three years. The MoU is estimated to be worth Rs 120 crore and will be deployed in three phases: Rs 30 crore for the first year, Rs 40 million for the second year, as well as Rs 50 billion for the third year.
BLive and CBPL are aimed at helping last-mile delivery companies such as Swiggy, Zomato, Delhivery, Porter, Amazon, and Flipkart to close the gap in electric vehicles on the market. This partnership will help these organizations deploy electric vehicles across the country, with a particular focus on Tier II cities.
Samarth Kholkar (CEO & Co-Founder of BLive) stated that “last-mile delivery service providers have been an important accelerator of India’s electric mobility revolution with a focus on electric vehicles for their fleet. Electric vehicles can be used to significantly lower the cost of operation as well as energy costs. EVs are a great choice for last-mile delivery service providers because of their lower operating costs, simple mechanism, and low maintenance.”
Param Mandloi is the Co-Founder of CBPL. He stated, “Our e-commerce, as well as last-mile delivery services, are designed for modern consumers who require fast, reliable, and environmentally-friendly delivery options. Businesses can easily meet customer needs with electric delivery vehicles while minimizing their environmental impact.”
CBPL currently has a presence in 15 cities, mainly Tier II. It will also be responsible for ensuring the same on the ground after the deployment of EVs as part of the agreement.
