Okaya Electric Vehicles has been awarded ICAT Certification for its electric vehicles. This certification covers safety requirements for electric cars and includes the design, construction, and testing of the battery pack and components to ensure that they comply with the safety standards set forth by the government. Okaya EV is now one of the first EV producers in the two-wheeler market to be certified under AIS 156 Amendment III Phase II.
Okaya Electric Vehicle supports advances in battery safety and reliability. This includes chargers and wires that are high-standard and have overcharging protection. It also has thermal protection and smart BMS. A buzzer is an additional safety feature that alerts the rider if there is a thermal runaway. It also has an IP67 rating which ensures that all components are protected against dust and water.
The company’s two-wheelers have a Lithium Iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This battery is waterproof and dustproof and lasts longer than an NMC. LFP batteries can be used in extreme Indian temperatures and are very safe. They also have a higher discharge and charge efficiency. LFP batteries are extremely stable and can operate in all conditions.
