Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, a division within the Mahindra & Mahindra Group is establishing charging stations near various auto rickshaw stands and auto driver home clusters as well as junctions. This will increase the acceptance of EVs in Mumbai and the surrounding areas.
The company also stated that chargers were installed at Mahindra Mitra Technician points and Mahindra Outlets so customers can charge their three-wheelers.
According to Mahindra, charging points were placed in strategic locations such as Malad, Navi Mumbai, Vasai, Kandivali, Mira Road, Virar, Andheri, and so forth. This is a continuous process.
The Mahindra team and key stakeholders have stated that they have identified additional charging spots around Mumbai and will begin work once approvals are granted. These additional charging points have also been made known to the auto driver partners.
Mahindra reports that more than 60 mechanics were trained by LMM’s personnel to handle Mahindra electric three-wheelers.
Mahindra sells the Treo Zor, Treo auto, as well as Zor Grand electric three-wheelers, in Mumbai and its surroundings.
