In a move toward bridging the gap between academia and industry and making students future-ready, MG Motor India partners with RV College Of Engineering, Bengaluru. Under the MG Nurture initiative, it will launch an EV certificate program.

The specialized advanced diploma program ‘MG-RVCE Nurture on EV’ covers a 5-month period of offline training. The program also includes a 90-day internship at a local MG dealership.

The online course will take place at the College’s new Centre of Excellence, a laboratory cum workshop that was established with support by MG. It is aligned with MG’s key brand pillar of Diversity and Inclusion.

Rajeev Chaba, President and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, “This collaboration will provide an immersive and experiential learning opportunity for students by enabling practical insights and helping them develop the requisite expertise in the automobile industry.”

Dr KN Subramanya, Principal, RV College of Engineering added, “The course is well balanced with theory and practical knowledge. This will enhance the employability and aid in the overall personality development of any candidate.”

MG is open to academic collaborations. MG has provided vehicles to renowned institutions to support the education of their students. MG extended the Nurture program to help engineering and medical students who have returned from Ukraine.

RV College of Engineering is currently the first to partner with MG for an EV course. However, plans are in place to launch similar certification programs across India at other top educational institutions.
