The government of Rajasthan approves Rajasthan Electric Vehicle Policy (REVP) to boost the adoption process of electric vehicles in the state.
An additional budget of Rs 40 crore has been approved for the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) reimbursement for buying electric vehicles.
The implementation of REVP will help in reducing the pollution caused by petrol and diesel vehicles in Rajasthan. The state is committed to stimulating all types of electric vehicles.
The government will reimburse SGST of Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 for electric two-wheelers and Rs 10,000 to 20,000 for electric three-wheelers. Electric vehicles will be exempted from the Motor Vehicle Tax of the state.
