Hero Electric partners with Shadowfax Technologies to provide electric scooters for last-mile deliveries. Hero Electric will turn around 25% of the 100,000 fleets of Shadowfax Technologies into electric vehicles with its NYX HX e-scooters. Shadowfax Technologies plans to have 75% of its fleet be electric vehicles by 2024. The last-mile delivery fragment is growing and to cut emissions, a green mobility shift is required. As per him, the industry is anticipated to see growth and transformation of B2B fleets in the country with the rising infrastructure.
Euler Motors Partners with Magenta to Deploy 1000 HiLoad EVs in India
Euler Motors, an electric vehicle company, has announced it has tied up with Magenta, an integrated clean energy and electric mobility solutions provider, to deploy 1000 HiLoad EVs, 3wheeler cargo vehicles. Magenta, which specializes in building solutions that enables their clients to achieve sustainability goals, will deploy these EVs in Bangalore followed by other regions over the next 12 months. The new HiLoad deployments will constitute multiple segments and customer applications including e-commerce, food delivery, pharma and other last-mile logistics clients, it said in a press statement.
India’s EV Sales Saw Three-Fold Increase In 2021-22, Report
According to a recent report, India’s electric vehicle retail sales saw an increase of three-fold in 2021-22. Also, the sales were dominated by electric three-wheelers among others. The data was gathered from around 1,397 regional transport offices. India sold 429,217 units during this time period compared to 134,821 units in 2020-21. During 2021-22, 17,802 units were sold of passenger electric vehicles which were 4,984 units in 2020-21. The EV market was highly dominated by Tata Motors which saw a five-fold increase in its electric car sales. The company sold 15,198 units in the last fiscal which was 3,523 units in 2020-21. MG Motor sold 2,045 units, Mahindra sold 156 electric passenger cars, and Hyundai Motor sold 128 units.
EV Tech Logistics Platform, EVIFY Partners with Swiggy in Gujarat
Swiggy and EVIFY, a tech-enabled EV logistics platform has come together in Surat, Gujarat to help food delivery firms go completely electric and opt for a sustainable way of delivery, reports ANI. The partnership aims to cover 80 percent of prime areas of Surat for last-mile delivery. The collaboration is a green initiative aimed at conserving the environment by significantly reducing carbon emissions, and the progression to EVs is a vital step in that direction. The number of fleet sizes with Swiggy at the moment is between 20-25 covering prime locations in Surat.
EKA Signs MoU With Log9 to Provide Advanced Fast-Charging Battery Solutions
EKA, an electric vehicles & technology company, and a subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries Limited, has announced entering into a long-term strategic collaboration, initiated through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with Bengaluru-headquartered advanced battery technology startup Log9 Materials. The partnership is mainly aimed to provide Log9’s fast-charging advanced battery solution RapidX for EKA’s new energy vehicles, including their recently-launched pure electric bus range, EKA E9 and soon-to-be-launched range of Light Commercial Vehicles.

Hero Electric partners with ElectricPe for setting up electric vehicle charging stations in India. It is estimated that around 2 million electric vehicles be on road by 2026 in the country which would require good charging infrastructure. With this partnership, Hero Electric’s users can access the EV charging network of ElectricPe for charging vehicles. The charging points will be set up at malls, offices, residential complexes, and other establishments. ElectricPe is a B2C EV charging and demand generation app that offers EV users a one-stop platform to access EV charging points, which also tracks real-time usage, ensuring a trusted network for users.
BPCL To Invest Rs 200 Crore In India For EV Charging Infrastructure
Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) will invest Rs 200 crore in India to accelerate the electric vehicle charging infrastructure. BPCL will also set up 100 fast EV charging corridors with 2000 stations on 100 busiest national highways in the current fiscal year. In January 2022, BPCL launched its first EV charging corridor on the Chennai-Trichi-Madurai highway. The second EV charging corridor is under construction on the Kochi-Salem part of NH-47 and will be completed in two months. The third corridor will be on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway facilitated by multiple charging units. A single charging unit without transformers costs around Rs 7-12 lakh for setting up and a transformer will cost around Rs 25 lakh.
