EMobility+ interviewed Rahul Shonak, Chief Operating Officer, Nexzu Mobility wherein he shared insights on the transition of Nexzu Mobility from Avan Motors, new additions to their product portfolio and how Nexzu is supporting last mile delivery solutions.

Please tell us about the exciting journey and transition from Avan Motors to Nexzu Mobility.

In early 2020, we elevated from an electric scooter brand to an all-encompassing smart mobility brand and rebranded to Nexzu Mobility. As part of this evolution, Nexzu went from single to multiple product ranges including e-cycles. Nexzu is making significant strides in mobility solutions, IoT, EV powertrain, and different forms of mobility, with an unwavering focus on R&D and service. Expanding its ambit from a generic electric two-wheeler brand to a holistic solutionprovider in the electric mobility segment.

Along with the rebranding, there also have been new additions in your product line. How are the new products, especially e-cycles faring and how has the overall response been?

Our products and service offerings focus on value products that offer cost-effective mobility solutions. We have a wide range of products within the e-cycle segment, which has been dubbed the future of urban mobility. Our E-Cycles have received an overwhelming response from the market. Our dealer partners and customers across India have given us positive feedback on our ecycles which are perfect for commute purposes in cities and towns. The dual battery in Roadlark is an instant choice for customers who take long rides.

How is Nexzu supporting Last-mile delivery solutions as the same play an important role in today’s times of Ecommerce and E-business?

We have successfully operated multiple pilot projects in ride-sharing and the last mile delivery solutions business in some cities in India. We see growth and demand drives in the use case of EV’s is coming in the form of last-mile connectivity for ECommerce players and within the B2B segment.

We have tied up with exclusive key last-mile delivery partners and have a fleet in operation. Also, we are in talks with prominent E-commerce players in India for the last-mile delivery solution.
