EESL Supplies 10 Electric Cars To Bhopal Smart City

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, Government of India recently announced that it has supplied 10 electric cars to  Collector of Bhopal making the state the first smart city to adopt Electric vehicles.

EESL stated that “ A new step towards a new beginning! On this IndependenceDay, we’re honored to handover 10 EVs to Collector Bhopal, Avinash Lavania (IAS) & CEO Smart City, Aditya Singh (IAS) making Bhopal India’s first smartCity to adopt Electric vehicles (EV).

Recently, An MoU was signed between Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) and India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) to collaborate jointly to ensure faster adoption of EV mobility & pan India scaling of EV charging infrastructure.

The initial focus of their work will be on the development and deployment of the pilot EV tracker tool including associated hardware, and an analysis of the potential for Telecom towers to double up as EV charging stations along the Golden Quadrilateral of India.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has also signed an agreement in july with the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) to promote electric vehicles and install public EV charging stations & related infrastructure. The partnership will also facilitate the creation of an infrastructural ecosystem to accelerate e-mobility uptake as the nation emerges from the lockdown post COVID-19 pandemic.
