Cellestial E-mobility Launches Its First Electric Tractor in Hyderabad
Cellestial E-Mobility, a Hyderabad-based start-up launched its first E-Tractor. It claims that it will bring down the cost of ownership and the tractor’s performance would be 4X that of a diesel-powered tractor. Co-founder Siddhartha Durairajan said to ANI that “The e-tractor is engineered to be a zero-emission environment-friendly tractor for horticultural or greenhouse works or moving goods within factories, warehouses and to haul baggage in airports”.The start-up targets to build around Eight thousand tractors in the next 36 months,Siddhartha added.

BBMP Plans to Launch Pink E- Autorickshaws This Year
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) plans to launch pink E- auto rickshaws which is specially meant for women.The auto is equipped with CCTV cameras and GPS trackers. The tenders for pink auto-rickshaws will be called by March 31 this year. Welfare department had no clue about the project though BBMP has been promoting electric vehicles.The number of e-autos are yet not confirmed even though the project has been delayed.Post the test run of the pink autos civic authority planned to launch the e-autos . Presently there seems to be an incertitude about the project launch.

Vogo Aims to Double Its Revenue to USD 120 Million in 2021
Vogo, a bike and scooter sharing start-up, aims to double its revenue run rate to USD 120 million in 2021 by planning to increase the number of vehicles on its platform to about 1 lakh. The Ola-backed company aims to have 20 % of its fleet as EVs. The company operates in Mysore,Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Anand Ayyadurai, Vogo CEO said that “In the last 12 months, we have scaled the number of vehicles on the platform from 200 to 20,000 and the plan is to increase this further to one lakh in the next year”

Tamil Nadu Plans to Build 4,000-acre Industrial Park for EV
Tamil Nadu government stated that it will set up an exclusive industrial park for manufacture and assembly of e-vehicles after releasing its electric vehicles policy.”Tamil Nadu remains one of the top states in the automobile industry. The state has received investment from French automobile maker PSA. We are also going to set up a 4,000 acre e-vehicle park.” said Industry Minister M C Sampath, during state assembly.

Goa Emerged as a Frontrunner in Electric Vehicle Standards
By 2020, 30% of e-vehicles will be registered yearly in Goa and by 2025 there will be 10,000 direct and indirect jobs.The state is expecting to set an example for the rest of the country by emerging in electric vehicle standards.World-class infrastructure and ecosystem across passenger and commercial segments is proposed by government in Goa Electric Vehicle Promotion Policy.The policy will be applicable for 2-wheelers, 3-wheelers, passenger cars and commercial light/heavy vehicles that are operated in the state with a Goa-based RTO passing.
